The Iowa British Car Club
Established in 1984, the Iowa British Car Club was created to bring together individuals who share a passion for British automobiles. The club’s mission is to foster a welcoming community by organizing engaging events that allow members to connect with one another and enjoy their vehicles.
The club regularly organizes a variety of events, offering members numerous opportunities to participate and socialize. Typical activities include scenic drives through picturesque routes, car shows where members can display their vehicles, relaxing picnics, and occasional rallies. These events are generally held on a monthly basis during the fair-weather months, from March through October, making the most of the driving season. During the winter months, when outdoor events are less feasible, members traditionally gather at a local restaurant for a “Natter.” This traditional English term refers to a social event centered around dining and conversation, giving members a chance to stay connected during the off-season.
A directory of all members and their British automobiles is made available to members in order to encourage community engagement and facilitate the sharing of interests. Additionally, members have the opportunity to purchase club nametags and T-shirts, which help promote club identity and camaraderie.
